I recently created a free resource called the Elegant Eating Handbook.
Whether you want to lose weight permanently or cultivate a more peaceful and pleasurable relationship with food, this handbook is for you.
If you’re done with quick-fix diets and desire a more sustainable and simplified eating approach that yields long-term results, you are in the right place, my friend.
It’s so easy to get caught up in the nitty-gritty details of weight loss and diet advice. This handbook addresses some of the broader themes that trip women up, going beyond questions like “What’s the best diet?” or “What exactly should I be eating?”
You may be wondering why I called it the Elegant Eating Handbook, and at first glance, this title could be misleading.
So, that’s what I’d like to share with you in this post.
The following is extracted directly from the introduction chapter of the handbook.
Elegant Eating Defined
This handbook isn’t about table etiquette or hosting glamorous dinner parties. Instead, “elegant” refers to a simple yet effective way to solve problems. The word comes from the Latin root eligere, meaning “to choose well” or “to select with care.”
In this context, elegance means:
- Cutting through Complexity: Simplifying diet information to provide clear, concise, and effective strategies for lasting, sustainable weight loss.
- Selecting with Care: Making thoughtful, discerning choices for the health of your body and mind.
In a Nutshell, Elegant Eating Is About:
- Timeless Wisdom: Embracing proven principles that stand the test of time over chasing transient diet trends.
- Simplicity: Choosing straightforward, easy-to-follow practices over complicated food rules.
- Balanced Discipline: Combining flexibility with loving self-discipline instead of rigid restrictions.
- Mindful Choices: Being intentional about how you sustain both your body and mind, making thoughtful decisions that support your well-being.
- Purposeful Eating: Using food to fuel and nourish your body, not to escape uncomfortable emotions.
- Quality Over Quantity: Prioritizing high-quality, nutrient-rich foods while being mindful of portion sizes to support your goals.
- Long-term Vision: Focusing on overall health and long-term goals rather than short-term gratification
- Progress, Not Perfection: Embracing consistent effort over flawless execution, knowing that every small step counts.
These principles underpin the strategies I’ll share in the following pages for sustainable weight loss and a more peaceful, joyful relationship with food.
